Soccer Trophies and Awards

Soccer trophies and awards are a great way to commemorate the end of the spring soccer season for a youth soccer league, top off a school league event, or recognize the winner of the city soccer league. The popularity of soccer has mushroomed in recent decades and the numbers of youth involved in soccer is huge. For many youth, this is their first experience in organized athletic events and may be the start of a lifelong love of sports.

What better way to recognize and encourage the young, aspiring soccer players, than to win a trophy for soccer to reward all their hard work during the season! When you order from QuickTrophy, remember that we are the factory. We manufacture our soccer awards - from small soccer participation trophies for awarding to youth players at the end of the season, to larger soccer trophies for more serious competition like between rival leagues or schools, to championship soccer trophies for the end of the season playoff games or other "big" games. We also have a large selection of soccer medals or soccer dog tags when you want to get something for everyone as a take away gift.

We even make perpetual soccer trophies for fantasy soccer leagues, commemorating recurring events, such as an annual championship game, the winner of the city league, the high school rival competition, or the annual end of the season regional soccer championship.

What are cheap trophies made of?

Cheap trophies are typically made of the same materials as more expensive trophies, they are just smaller and more simple. A cheap trophy is usually a simple trophy of a plastic figurine on a base. This is true for soccer trophies or any other common youth sports trophies.

The base can be marble or plastic, and you would think the plastic would be cheaper, but it's not. Marble, particularly smaller pieces like those used in trophies, is less expensive than plastic components. However, natural marble has defects like cracks, chips, and discoloration, which makes some pieces unusable. So when you add in the amount that cannot be used, marble and plastic are closer in price, but marble is still slightly cheaper than plastic. Natural, solid marble adds weight and the stone is beautiful while plastic bases are weighted with plaster. Overall, marble trophy bases are less expensive, while plastic trophy bases, even though they are more expensive, seem cheaper.

Figurines are typically made of metallic gold colored plastic. Traditionally, if you go back before the 1970's, trophy figurines were made of cast metal. Plastic figurines were introduced as a low cost alternative to the metal pieces. The cost difference was very significant, so the use of plastic figurines grew dramatically and today nearly all trophies are made with plastic figurines. Metal figurines are still available for many sports and other activities, but the cost is often 10 to 20 times higher than plastic, depending on the figure.

Columns are the other component typically used in smaller trophies. Trophy columns are made from plastic tubing, carved wood, or in some instances, metal tubing. As you might guess, plastic tubing comes in the most colors and styles and is the least expensive. Wood columns typically have decorations carved into them, have fewer options, and are about 50% to 100% more expensive than plastic columns. Metal columns, if you can find them, are 50% to 100% more expensive than wood.
